My little brother recommended these socks; uses them inside his waders while flyfishing. I only bought one pair. Big mistake. If the laundry doesnt get done I have to resist the temptation to fish them out of the basket and wear them another day, especially on chilly winter days. Buy these socks, whatever the price. Theyll keep your feet warm, dont itch, and are very durable. Make sure you buy at least two pairs, though, or youll be fishing through the laundry basket for your Smartwools.

Amazon.com needs to carry more Smartwool products. I purchased a pair of these wonderful socks two years ago and traveled heavily in them throughout Europe for over six months. The socks are still in great condition! No holes, snags, or tears.
These are my first and only "favorite pair of socks." My girlfriend makes fun of me because I claim that my days are better when I wear these socks.

During the summer of 2001 I purchased my first pair of SmartWool socks and promtly hiked 400 miles through the Colorado Rockies with them. The SmartWools performed flawlessly. Not only did my feet stay dry and cool throughout the hike; but during the 24 days of non-stop walking I only acquired one small blister on a day of torential rain. Since that time I have purchased many different kinds and styles of SmartWool socks and have been please with them all. Incredibly, that first pair is still in my regular sock rotation with no visible holes and only minor pilling. Simply put, in my opinion SmartWools are the best socks money can buy.
