We purchased it as a birthday gift for our daughter-in-law: Garnet is her birthstone. She was so excited, when she opened it, that she had to call her husband (our son) at work and tell him about it. (It came a week after her birthday - I didnt order it early enough, not realizing it was hand made and coming from the Andes!) She said the necklace and earring set was well worth waiting for!
