Really a fine lightweight hiking sock. The wool/silk/nylon/spandex mix is very soft and not all all scratchy. I like it better than any Thor-lo or other wool or synthetic sock Ive owned in the past. There is a left and right sock, as they are molded and designed with "support" specific to each foot.
